My AI-assisted scraping pipeline has broken 4 times in 6 weeks — is constant anti-bot patching just the cost of doing this now?

Discussion

Built a data extraction setup integrating Claude for parsing and Playwright for scraping. Worked great initially. Then Cloudflare started catching it, then DataDome, then some custom detector I'd never seen. Ironically the AI component has been the most stable part — it's the anti-detection layer that needs weekly babysitting. I’ve also been using BrowserAct for local browser runs because it keeps the workflow close to a real Chrome session while I debug and refine the pipeline. Curious whether people here just accept this churn as normal or have found ways to make these pipelines more resilient. What's your maintenance overhead look like?
