I really like the finale

Sure their were things that I wish were addressed like what happened to C&A and the abstractions in the cellar but I really like it.

You can’t save everyone, like what we see with Jax. I’ve been in Pomni’s shoes many times where I wonder if I was more patient or nicer with someone would they have been more open with their problems but you can’t obsess over the what if all you can do if continue to be kind to others and hope they know you care about them.

The sad thing about people like Jax is that they do have to be the one to contribute to a connection and if they don’t sadly no matter how kind you are to them and make them feel welcomed if they don’t actively try to contribute to said relationship then it is on them, not you, if they become worse.

I had a co worker that is very similar to Jax her parents were not good people and no matter how much I tried to be pleasant to her and check up on her she would bully me. It got to the point that she was a major reason why I quit.

Yet there is hope, Jax’s human counterpart is doing much better and has a support group. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is in therapy and has cut ties with his mother.

Hell maybe the gang will find a way to reverse the abstractions.

Onto other stuff, Caine. While I understand  his“death” and revival can feel cheap I’m glad he was brought back, or else we wouldn’t get him regretting his acts, him learning about humans, his talk to the moon and him saying sorry but it can not just end there. He is actively working on improving his relationship to the gang. 

He is no longer God but a fellow player and he and everyone else is having more fun in the circus, especially Zooble and Gangle wink wink.

The finale shot of Pomni waving is a meta way of saying goodbye to the audience but I also interpret her saying goodbye for now to Jax as she is shown to regularly visit him.

In the after credit scene we see their human counterpart together and while they will never know their digital counterparts struggles they are just living.

I really do love this finale, it is one about yes bad stuff will happen and sometimes people can’t be saved but that doesn’t mean you can’t be better or do stuff to make your world a bit brighter.
