I discovered something about myself after making a terrible decision

I have a secret that I've never told anyone, and the more time passes, the more conflicted I feel about it.
My wife and I have been together for years. We started out long distance, and like a lot of couples in that situation, we used to send each other intimate photos and videos from time to time. After we got married, that phase of our relationship mostly disappeared and life became normal. We've always had a good relationship and a pretty ordinary sex life.

About a year ago, in a spontaneous moment, I suggested taking a few private photos together. To my surprise, she agreed. We took them, laughed about it, and moved on. At least she did. I kept the photos.

Months later, I made a choice that I still feel guilty about. Without thinking through the consequences, I anonymously shared a couple of those pictures online. I knew it was wrong the moment I did it, but I did it anyway.

The response was immediate. Strangers started leaving comments about how attractive my wife was. Some sent messages complimenting her appearance. What caught me off guard wasn't the attention itself—it was my reaction to it.
I expected to feel defensive or jealous. Instead, I felt the exact opposite.

For some reason, reading other people admire my wife affected me in a way I wasn't prepared for. It made me realize that I liked knowing other people found her beautiful. That realization has left me confused ever since.

Now I'm stuck with two feelings that seem completely incompatible. On one hand, I feel guilty because I violated my wife's trust. She doesn't know I shared those photos, and that's something I have to live with every day. On the other hand, I can't deny that the experience awakened thoughts and feelings I never knew I had.

I don't know what that says about me. I don't know whether I'm looking for advice, judgment, or understanding. I just know I've been carrying this around for a long time and needed to finally admit it somewhere.
