First-timer Jumpmaker Advice

Hi long time lurker and first time poster here. So I'm currently drafting my first jumpchain, something comic related but I don't want to give spoilers till it's finished. Been reading a lot of from Valeria and Cthulu_fartagn where I'm getting most of my inspiration, but just wanted to see if anyone has advice on the writing. Especially could use help on how to come up with perks from the media, tend to prefer ones with a more abstract bent.
