update on bidet/wet wipes

this is such a random post but oh well. i posted in this subreddit a couple weeks ago about how much I loved wet wipes and how they genuinely helped me out so much. I expected a lot more people to agree and share their experiences, but instead i got a lot of people talking about bidets.
Most people were really nice and just sharing their knowledge which I really do appreciate!! however, some people were kind of rude and almost judgmental about it, and it genuinely made me pretty sad. i know that sounds stupid and dramatic, and that I probably shouldn’t have let it get to me at all, but I think I was just a little frustrated that a moment of me trying to share a win and a positive thing would make me feel a little less alone in this. instead i just felt like everyone was judging me and mad at me for not being interested in a bidet.
anyway, all of that is kind of besides the main point. i decided since people were saying bidets were magical, i might as well try one and see. i ordered it off amazon and expected it to be life changing.
it did absolutely nothing. and i genuinely mean nothing. and i can assure you with 100% certainty it wasn’t user error. i have tried using it for over two weeks in different ways, different angles, different methods, etc. and i still have to use the same amount of toilet paper that I would use without a bidet to get completely clean. I’ve tried everything.
i was even disappointed because I have a surgery coming up where I can’t lift or move my arms much, so i was really hoping that this would help me out.
i just wanted to post this to say that what works for one person might not work for the next and to maybe try to be a little bit nicer to each other. once again- the majority of people were super nice and were trying to be helpful, which i do really appreciate and understand. much love to yall and i hope everyone finds their bidet or wet wipes that work for them ❤️
