needing help finding the correct color space transform settings for s23u hdr10+ video
ill start off with im pretty new editing
the clips are 10bit bt2020 h265 mp4. (editing in davinci resolve 20)
__my color management settings are__
Color Science: DaVinci YRGB
Timeline color space: Davinci WG\Intermediate
output color space: rec.709-a
__My Color space transform settings are__
input color space: rec.2020
input gamma: rec.2100 st2084 (scene)
output color space: rec.709
output gamma: rec.709a
after all that this is what im looking at
idk exactly what im looking at but from all the tutorials ive been watching i don't think this is normal. it looks blown out and lifted especially when looking at the bottom of the waveform and parade it look weird.
for instance when i compare it to a similar clip shot in sdr it looks like this.
i would shoot sdr and cut my losses but for some reason anything over 200-250iso starts blowing out skin while the main subject/background ill be shooting is still dark even with proper controlled lighting like a panel light and cob light with soft boxes. the sdr video i used to compare is 400 iso so if i want to put my hand in frame i need to shoot hdr so 50% of the skin tone isnt clipping.
