I watched it today, and it was just as beautiful as I remember it!!!! I know there's a thousand reviews of the finale already as it is, so here's my add to the pile with my own twist on it.

I'm a Jax fan, I've always been a Jax fan, and I'll continue to be a Jax fan, and to be honest I say Jax was more the main character than Pomni was throughout this entire series. It's like the movie The Croods where they tried to make the daughter the main character, but the dad did more and was explored the most that he was more deserving of being the main character by the end because, I say, this series is ultimately about identity. The finale itself was good, but I think it could have been so much better if they had NOT shown Abstracted Jax until after Pomni tried to save him.

I'm not going to try to convince any of you of this, but Jax had just such a beautiful character exploration, and I absolutely know where he's coming from. His last name is Mateo, which makes me believe he's of Hispanic parentage, which I am as well, so I understand that his father probably painted the platinum standard of what a man is supposed to be, and he just wasn't able to keep up with it. For that, he feels an unbeatable sense of inferiority that he bottles up and masks with a jokey, dark humor personality. I get it, buddy, I absolutely get it. They don't, but I do. What Pomni and the girls tried to do in giving him a support structure ("I'm here for you", "If you need somebody to talk to, please talk to me") was good, but in doing so they unknowingly put him at the very top and gave him no reason to change with them acting as his floor, which we saw first hand with how he immediately chose violence in his mind's plan of what he would do if Ragatha abstracted. What he needed instead was a ceiling to break. An enemy or a rival, just somebody to remind him that he wasn't the apex of the circus members and give him a reason to change and explore his own persona, **NOT** necessarily so that he could paint his own image or what a man is, but so that he could paint his own image of who **HE** is. He is Jax. He is not his father. He should not be his father, and he especially should not be his mother's ground. He is Leroy Mateo.

I know there's plenty of you that are going to dislike me for having this opinion of Jax, so since I'm airing out my dirty laundry already, I gotta say, all due respect to the English voice actors, but the Braz. voice actors, especially for Jax, just had so much more emotion behind it. I don't know if it's because I already knew what was coming, but the first time I watched it, I was legitimately in tears when Jax said "It's too late for me" and just finally broke. I don't speak Port., I speak Mexican Spanish, so it was so interesting to me to detect our shared words during the montage of Jax and Ribbit being happy together (I know he called her "Pu\* ta" at one point 😂), but the emotion of him opening up to Ribbit about his mother and doing that little pout of frustration, I'm super excited to hear the Spanish version of this!

I loved this series all the way. This is hands down in my top three favorite shows of all time. I really wish we could have had more, but if this is where Goose says it ends, then I'm happy this is how it ends.

*Magnifico*

It was BEAUTIFUL, and I LOVE Jax!!!
