4 nights on Big Island Hilo base camp or Hawaiian Acres

7 days prior in Maui, rental car getting in Hilo. Plan is to explore the national park and main spots all over island. (We are young and wake up early so don’t mind an all day outing exploring the island)

Is it worth a better place/cheaper in Hawaii Acres or am I better off being in Hilo as base?

Google showing it’s about a 14 mile 30 minute drive away. Am I going to regret back and forth from that area!
