How to handle the guilt of running away?
I am 17 and running away. My parents have been extremely abusive to me for years and that is as in topic as I will get. They recently put me through some stuff that has destroyed my mental health, I went to see a therapist as advised by the psych ward but they took me out as punishment for poor mental health and getting police and CPS called on them. I love my parents and I think deep down they might want to fix things but they're not trying. I honestly cannot do this anymore, theyve been warned of my suicidal tendencies for a while and do nothing but punish me. I love them, I don't want to hurt them but I can no longer live the way I am, I am dying.
How do I get over the guilt of leaving them behind to deal with this? I have a place to go, a plan to execute it (they don't know I have this phone) ALL, *extremely* private social media I have will be deleted, I will keep no contact with any of my friends or family unless in person (I have chosen only three people who I would trust with my life) to stay in contact with. This phone will be destroyed and I will be using a prepaid burner bought with cash as well as zero social media, zero over text contact, no work (I have calculated and have enough money to get by for the next 8 months until I am 18)
I am honestly in a really scary place right now and I need any advice on what to do or how to go about doing this. I am attempting to stay as private as possible I apologize for the vagueness.
