bday greeting?

is it still necessary for me to greet my ex on his birthday even though we ended in a not-so-good term?

i blocked him everywhere and left without any explanation after he repeated a behavior that broke us before that i thought has already been addressed between us and did not talk to me for days after that.

the reason why im having thoughts abt greeting him is because i feel bad with the way i left and that he also made my bday rlly special this yr so greeting him on his felt like the most bare minimum i can do back and could be for closure as well? idk huhu
