Koshal Raej ra naa ?
History.
According to ancient Vajrayana Buddhist texts, the land of ODDIYANA consisted of 2 kingdoms
-
SAMBHALA - Ruled by Indrabhuti , Sambhala is identified as Sambalpur.
-
LANKAPURI - Ruled by Jalendra. Lankapuri , land of Lankeshwari, is identified as Subarnapur / Sonpur.
King of Sambhala was Mahasiddha Indrabhuti , who founded Vajrayana Buddhism, i.e., the Tantric form of Buddhism. The Vajrayana is presently practised in Tibet , Sikkim , Bhutan & Arunachal Pradesh.
Indrabhuti wrote a Magnum opus about his ideology in a book called
" JANANA SIDDHI " where he started by invoking Lord Jagannath as a Vajrayana Buddhist diety. ( he probably borrowed it from tribal religions ).
This was the very first instance where " JAGANNATH " was mentioned.
Argument which you will face.
Log ita kahi Paran ki Jagannath ta Khali Jagat ra nath aae itar Puri ra Jagannath sange kichi nia thua nai na.
The counterargument which you have to give.
Exactly after 400 years of Indrabhuti , Anatavaraman Chodaganga conquered western Odisha and became Trikalingadhipatai. He carried the Jagannath Idol from Patali Sri Khetra to Puri and established it there. Patali Sri Khetra is located in Sonpur ( Lankapuri ).
ODDIYANA bele kana ?
Buddhist sense Yana means a Vehicle.
In Tamil ( which is older than Apabhramsa ), ODIYAN means a person who speaks ODIA.
Now the thing is clear that Kalinga didn't speak Odia and western Odisha spoke Odia.
ODRA DESA RA KHEL.
Boudh named Odradesa by Janamajeya of Somavanshi after conquering it from Bhanjas, who were vassals of Bhaumakaras. Jajati, son of Janamjeya, moved it to Ordradesha, a specific place called Jagati, earlier known as Jajati nagara.
Somabanshi man kar Raj Dhani ? Binka Bargarh.
By all this, you can infer that the core region of Odisha was in western Odisha, not coastal Odisha, aka KALINGA.
Sambalpuri / Kosali is the real Odisha. The Coastal people have stolen the identity of western Odisha.
Neither is the language theirs , nor is the God Jagannath theirs , nor is the name of the state theirs.
Ig Koshal is a Mhajanapada in Uttar Pradesh , who fought regular wars with Kapilavastu as mentioned by Buddha himself. So the right name is Dakshina Kosala.
Kintu bhal kari itihas ta padhle , Paschim Odisha ra theek naa ta Odradesha hebar katha ki Oddiyana hebar Katha. E duhi na se mane Amar nu chairaichan.
