Are 4 courses a semester hard?

I'm choosing between 2 or 3 courses this term and considering doing 3 (3 courses every trimester) so I can do one less course for a semester (when it switches back in 2028). I was wondering if it was worth it because I initially wanted to take this term easy since my two courses are hard already. I don't want to question my life choices when I'm drowning in work with 4 courses a semester.
