CAREER GUIDANCE

Advice/Guidance

Hi,

So I (27M) am currently in a fix right now. Probably going through a very critical phase of my life; here is a brief snapshot of how my life has panned out-

Introverted, shy from Nagpur----- never dated a girl yet----- average in studies but mostly obedient and honest with my parents and authoritative figures---- struggled throughout my school and college life---- completed MBA (Marketing; from Pune) + MA (ENGLISH LITT)----- Hobbies: Reading, Writing, Film Appreciation----- Didn't opt for placements and searched for a job on my own---- worked in a private digital marketing firm in Nagpur for almost a year----- Had to leave job on parents encouragement to pursue Government Jobs----- Currently going through the grind but with no results (since late 2024).

So as of now, I am trying to navigate through my career path and have been applying for positions through Naukri.com. But honestly, I don't have a clarity regarding the exact career path or the option that aligns with my psyche. I am not meant for rigorous IT Corporate Job that is for sure since it would just turn me into a mechanical being (Those who do I have immense respect for them, it's just that I do not find it appealing). I want to get into a career that helps me hone and use my creative skill of writing to the best possible capacity. I am currently working on a personal portfolio; for which I have recently created my Substack profile (which I am trying my best to keep active and running).

As a final career leap, I am considering the idea of enrolling myself for a Distance Learning Diploma programme in Mass Communication and Journalism. I have zeroed in on two specific institutes- Amity and Symbiosis. As I am comparing both the programmes, I find myself a bit inclined towards Symbiosis since it clearly mentions its placement policies and support system.

Still I would like to be sure about the choice that I take up. Hence if anyone in this community has any idea about the quality of the programmes or the institute or a better option to align my career pathway, please drop in your suggestions. Would seriously help me consider the decision.
