Nvidia Driver Installed but Inactive on Nobara
Just built a brand New PC, here's the relevant specs from fastfetch:
OS: Nobara Linux 43 Gnome
Kernel: Linux 7.0.1-200.nobara.fc43.x86\_64
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3d
gpu1: integrated on the cpu
gpu2: Nvidia GEForce RTX 5060
Motherboard: MSI x870e-P with onboard wifi
I started by trying to install Fedora, it worked EXCEPT that the only way to get the monitor working was with the Integrated graphics on the CPU -- i.e., it's plugged into the motherboard's HDMI slot, not the GPU. Plugging into the GPU gives me a black screen. I decided to give Nobara a shot, since their documentation says they bundle the Nvidia drivers with the installation media. Nobara install went fine, and i'm typing this from the Gnome desktop.
I've disabled secure boot, still no progress. In the Nobara driver settings, the OS can see the graphics card, saying it's "Enabled YES" and "Active NO". I've reinstalled the recommended driver, 595.71.05 and rebooted, and it's still "Active NO"
How would you suggest I go about troubleshooting this? I'm at wit's end.
