Why I left
I realized what I needed to feel fulfilled in a relationship was just not something you were capable of giving. That's not a fault of your own it's just how you're wired and that's ok. But relationships require two people who are happy and content and I was not.
So I decided to put my feelings first and I decided to leave you.
At first I thought I made a giant mistake.
But four years later I'm sitting here after months of awful dating, rethinking relationships, friendships, family, rethinking our marriage, years of therapy and I realized something.
Not only were you unable to give me fulfillment in our relationship but I was unable to receive it even if you were to try.
You see, darling, our ability to be able to love someone else has to start within ourselves. If I do not know what it feels like to love myself how do I know how to tell you what I need.
I learned a lot from you and us and I will forever be grateful.
Thank you,
Goodbye
