Advice on first Pride event

Hi guys,
I’ve been openly queer since I was 10, but prior to this year I lived in a very small town in Texas, so I’ve never experienced pride. I moved and don’t know anyone closely except for my two roommates/best friends, and I just learned they’ll be out of town for the Pride fest.

I really want to go, but I feel nervous to go alone. Has anyone ever gone to Pride by themselves? How did it go for you, did you make friends, etc? I have a few classmates from my college I could consider asking, but we aren’t close.

Happy Pride everyone. I am about to hit 6 months on T and I just had my top surgery consultation- if I’m lucky this will be my last summer dealing with chest dysphoria.
