Hustling just to smurf?

Just had a match in gold singles. Dude was playing really poorly so it was an easy win. Kept hurling insults and slurs (none of which actually apply to me) the said he was better than me "add me, and run it back. I'll beat you." Ok fine, I added him and got crushed. Plus more insults. Then wouldn't play a tiebreaker. Now he's no longer on my list. What's the point of this?
