Either I have a twin sister or possibly just someone who misused my ssn
Let me start by saying things are still getting cleared up. Today I went to file for financial aid due to becoming homeless. If you go through my post history you’ll see from the last two years I’ve had a lot of issues with my parents. Anyways to some it up I’m pretty much homeless and in need of financial aid, so I went to start the process today yippee for being an adult or whatever. Anyways when I started filing they had some sort of issue with my ssn, something to do with me being in the system already.
Long story short basically there’s a woman my age with the same birthday and birth year as me and she registered under my ssn. They have to put me on some sort of hold until they can correct this issue. It’s super frustrating because I’ve never shared my ssn I’m super careful about it. Either somehow I have someone who accidentally used my ssn or stole it or I have a twin sister that I got separated from at birth since I’m adopted.
At least on the bright side the guy I spoke to today said things should be fixed soon.
