Hi, I need your opinion on what's happening to me right now. I've been friends with him for the past 6 months, and he never once mentioned going to his house or visiting his family or anything like that, until one day after school he agreed to take me to his house to spend some time together studying and stuff. I always thought he was exaggerating when he said his house was messy or that he didn't like it, but when I walked in, oh my god, I swear I felt so uncomfortable in that place. There was black mold on the walls and the ceiling was practically falling down, not to mention the smell of dog pee that had probably been there for days. As soon as I went into his room, I realized that his way of "cleaning" was to hide everything under the bed. I swear there was trash everywhere, and he didn't even bother to take out the bag, which was overflowing. Obviously, I didn't say anything and just thought it was a family problem or something, but lately when we're on the phone or something and I see trash behind him, I tell him to throw it away or something, but he just says he'll do it later. I really started distancing myself from him because of this very issue, so he noticed my distance and began to question my loyalty to him, but I just can't wrap my head around someone being so dirty, AITA?
