Waiting since February 😤

I received a 4464C letter dated February 26 saying they needed 60 days but I haven't received anymore letters in the mail since then. Everytime I call i get vague answers and yesterday a lady told me they can take up to 180 days so I could pontentially be waiting sometime in August to receive something I filed in February. I'm sure my return is pretty basic and not complicated at all and could probably be verified and done in under an hour lol. Can anybody here tell me anything or am I basically at the all Holy and righteousness of the IRS?
