my tastebuds

does anyone else have like no tolerance for really bitter foods or spicy foods? I feel like people look at me funny when I turn down drinks or certain foods that are vegan because the taste is off.

Ive been vegan for over ten years and when I was younger like in high school I could drink alcohol no problem. Now I cant even finish a single drink of alcohol. I also enjoyed eating siracha sauce (I know , Ive never been very tolerant of spicy food in general but its gotten worse). but nowadays Im cool with just black pepper

It just sucks because my diet is even more limited For example I like the flavor of indian food , ask for them to make it mild and the heat is still way too intense for me to enjoy. another weird thing is strong herbs like fennel or cilantro make me wanna gag.

I still love being vegan despite all this but Im wondering if other people experienced a palate change where they no longer want to drink or eat foods with intense spice

Let me just clarify that this doesnt mean I like bland foods now. I still care a lot about flavor and Im all about using spices. Its just the spicy spices that I dont want anymore
