How do you handle ledger API mirroring delays and balance mismatches at session end?

Hey everyone,

We’ve been running into a tricky data sync issue during our API settlement integration for game session completions, and I’m curious to know how other developers handle this.

The Problem: Whenever a specific game session ends, the balance displayed on the frontend user interface doesn't match the actual deduction in our database provider in real-time. Because of this short lag, we are seeing a massive spike in user support tickets from players worried about their balances.

The Technical Cause: It boils down to a classic sync gap. The time difference between the frontend caching cycle and the backend ledger update API's asynchronous processing speed is temporarily breaking our real-time mirroring data consistency.

What we are considering: From an operational standpoint, we are looking at two potential fixes:

  1. Triggering a forced synchronization hook right at the moment of session expiration.
  2. Optimizing our transaction verification queues to minimize this bidirectional mismatch window.

We are also evaluating a lumix solution integration pattern to help manage and streamline our real-time data bridging more effectively.

Before we finalize our pipeline setup, I wanted to ask the community: When you integrate ledger APIs that require tight real-time mirroring consistency, how many seconds of timeout do you typically configure for your sync settings?

Would love to hear your architectural tips or lessons learned from similar setups!
