The shortest love story in Indian Railways history
——Pata hai aaj kya hua—-
Today I got an RAC seat in 3AC. Reached my berth and found out my travel partner was a very cute girl. She was from DU and I’m from IIT.
We introduced ourselves just started talking, and honestly for the first time I got genuinely good company on a train journey. The conversation was flowing nd journey suddenly felt shorter nd I was thinking Wow RAC finally paid off.
Then, after some time, an aunty arrived with a kid and said—- Actually, I have three seats and a child. If you both can shift to my seats and take separate 2 berths, it would help me. I need this side lower seat.
At that exact moment … my brain went like BC, aaj hi aapko humanitarian assistance chahiye thi?
The journey was long, so obviously we agreed and shifted. What else could we do?
Moral of the story:— Indian aunties have a sixth sense. The moment two strangers are having a decent conversation in a train, they appear out of nowhere to restore the balance of the universe.
RAC gave me hope, and aunty ji took it back.
