How to meet people? -21F

This might sound like a very stupid question, but I’m 21 and I’ve never had good experiences when it comes to dating apps and things like that. I’m not the best at taking pictures, so I typically avoid that, and I’m plus-sized. On my dating profile, I show that I am plus-sized, and I also emphasize that while chatting. Most guys say they are fine with that, but then we go on a date or two and they say they aren’t looking for something, or the situation just fizzles out.

On dates, I don’t mention the past at all, so I’m really wondering why I’m struggling. With Tinder, I get hundreds of matches, but none of them want more than a hookup. I go to a university, but since I’m local, I don’t get the real college experience.

I’ve never been to a bar, so now I’m wondering where I can meet people if I’m over the dating apps. I should also mention that I’m not a big social media user. I haven’t gone on a date or anything like that in almost eight months because I chose to work on myself and figure out how I can be a better me. Now I’m at a point where I feel stuck and I’m wondering where I can meet people if I’m over dating apps.
