Obsolete tech upgrades in ME2?

So I'm replaying ME2 after 11 years and I'm trying to do all the missions. Sth I noticed in the N7 missions is that I usually pickup some tech upgrade along them, but back on the Normandy they do not show up. Are they duplicates and because I already have these upgrades perhaps they do not show up? Or is it some bug because I have some mods installed (none that affect stats however, just a romance mod, a no paraphrasing mod and some other cosmetic ones, I can put a list if need be).
