Experience of starting Rinvoq at 50 years or older

Has anyone started Rinvoq for UC at 50 years or older? What has been your experience regarding effectiveness/remission and side effects?
My GI specialist is hesitant to start Rinvoq given my age(almost 50yo) and possible side effects. I have no significant co-morbidities or risk of heart disease.
