Internet constantly drops

We've had optimum for a while now, had some problems with the Internet but figured it was the router since it's pretty old. Went and got a new router, internet worked fine for a week or so and then we're back to constant drops in service. My hotspot from my phone has been a lifesaver since the wifi will kick on for a couple minutes and then go out, then come on for 10 minutes and go out for 30, then it'll come back for 30 seconds and be out for another 15 minutes. It's been like this since I got home from work at 5 p.m and it's almost midnight. It's absolutely ridiculous!

Ofc I reset my router, rebooted the gateway through the app, checked my extender to make sure it was getting signal, my phone will be "connected" but have "no Internet access." Never had problems with the Internet (aside from maintenance every now and then late at night) until recently and it's been extremely frustrating. The outage map doesn't show anything in my area but Downdetector shows it spiking throughout the entire day. With all the stories I've heard about Optimum, I'm taking what they say with a grain of salt.

Montgomery, TX area if anyone else has had similar issues.

Update: Just came back on but who knows how long that will last. My phone will show it's connected, then a few minutes (sometimes seconds) later the wifi will drop signal, or my tv will load netflix and as I'm scrolling it will stop loading entirely. So inconsistent.
