How to connect BU40N drive to laptop

I managed to get a second hand drive for ￥8500 but now I'm wondering the best way to connect externally.

1. USB 3 to slimline SATA cable + Y cable for extra power

2. Slimline SATA to regular SATA + regular USB sata adaptor
