Can control of Ai ever be lost?

Control of Ai, in my opinion, can't be lost.

To lose control over Ai it would require Ai becoming completely independent; a state in which the technology thinks for itself, does things on its own & makes informed decisions along the way. Ai would have to be in position to run affairs of the world without human interjections.

Can that ever happen? I don't think so. So no, control over Ai can never be lost.
