Being good looking should be the least important thing about a person
Alright, let me be clear. This is not a "gyan" post by any means. Just wanted to share this
Let's be honest with ourselves. Being good looking is largely genetics. A person might or might not get lucky with their genetics and that's about it. This isn't to say looks don't matter. We as humans have been biologically wired to get attracted to good looks.
But here is the point. There is no sense in giving so much importance to a factor that the person themselves has absolutely zero contribution in. And yet we as a society can't stop yapping about looks.
What do you look for in a person then?
Work ethic is something where I would start off with. Someone who is a high integrity individual is such a delight in the commitment phonic society that we live in today. Also, someone who is really passionate about what they do is a big plus.
I would then say, compassion. At the risk of generalising, we as a society have a high compassion deficit. We, for some reason have become too self centred.
Thirdly, I would say grace, dignity and character. How does a person conduct themselves in front of people they don't like or in situations that are unpleasant, shows real strength.
I can go on and on with the list, but will stop here. Being good looking brings you attention, having depth will make people stay.
Again, I am sorry, if it was too much of "gyan" 🫣🫣
Cheers🥂
