My family all has switch 2s and one will keep getting disconnected repeatedly while the rest work fine, is there any known fixes for this?
Since my family all got switch 2s and started playing on games together (there's four of us for reference) we have been having issues with one switch, picked seemingly at random, repeatedly dropping the connection and failing to load games, game chats, and so on for hours at a time. This has happened both to my mom, who is right next to the router, and my father, who was on the other side of the house. Three people (me, my father, and my mother) have had this issue so far. We have 500mbps down/20mbps up on our wifi and we have a brand new wifi6 router we just bought a month ago (tp-link archer ax21), so this shouldn't be an issue.
This was never an issue with our switch lites, nor my mom's two other switch ones, yet the second we switched to a switch 2, this issue came up. Does anyone know why this is an issue and if it's anything that can be fixed? Running ethernet throughout the house isn't a viable option as far as I'm concerned, so we have to have the wifi work.
We have no issues with our phones, our tablets, both of my computers, my mom's smart TV, 3 switch lites, and my mom's 2 switch 1s. It's just the switch 2s and I am stumped on what exactly is going on here.
Dump of network related info:
- Wifi router model: Tp-link archer AX21 AX1800
- Clients on wifi: 11 (5 on 5G, 6 on 2.4GHZ)
- Our router has the 2.4G and 5G connections merged into one SSID and assigns devices either 2.4G or 5G connections automatically
- All switch 2s are on 2.4G
- ISP: Spectrum hybrid fiber-coax (500mbps down/20mbps up, doesn't seem to be an issue but who knows)
