Kaiser dropping my mental health therapy

General

I’ve been through the wringer with Kaiser trying to get a mental health therapist. Finally was matched with one who seemed like a really good fit. The therapist was very warm and caring and I felt understood and supported. I was told we could continue our sessions as long as it was helping my mental health symptoms.

All was well until recently when I was notified that since I no longer have su!c!dal ideation, I no longer need therapy. I was told I can go to online classes or groups but there is no need for me to receive 1:1 therapy. When I tried to express that my ideation has improved because of the therapy sessions, and that I’m still very much struggling with my other mental health issues (I have PTSD and a handful of other mental health diagnoses in my chart ), I was told that if that’s the case, I should do their intensive out patient program and should stop seeing them because I need more help. The therapist was defensive and would not listen. When I tried to politely advocate for myself, they talked over me and said I’m not practicing the coping skills I was taught and that if I need more help, I should go to the Emergency room. I listed all of the different coping skills I have been implementing, but they basically said I should try harder.

Am I doing something wrong?
