Is there a correlation between dreams and reality?

Yesterday i had a dream where i was shouting at the top of my lungs at a friend. I woke up this morning with an extremely sore throat.
I asked my mom if i was shouting yesterday night when i was asleep and she sad no.
Little bit spooked out since then.
