Hey guys,
I recently noticed something while checking Kiara Advani’s profile. As you can see in the attached screenshot (1000052180.jpg), Sushant Singh Rajput's official account is still showing up in her following list. This got me thinking about a massive change that happened right after his demise.
If I remember correctly, back in early June 2020, Sushant used to follow over 6,000+ people on Instagram. He had a very unique way of interacting with fans and often followed them back, along with many prominent people from Bollywood.
However, shortly after his tragic demise, his account was memorialized (around June 19, 2020), and his following count drastically reduced/wiped out.
Does anyone here remember this or have old screenshots from that time? What was the actual reason behind this sudden mass unfollow right before or during the memorialization process? Was it an automated Instagram glitch, a PR clean-up, or did people just deactivate their accounts?
Would love to hear if anyone has deeper insights or old Reddit threads tracking this. #SushantSinghRajput #SSR #SushantSinghRajputCase ##ssrians
