anxiety is worse on prozac??

Advice

my vet recommended prozac for my dog because he is easily scared and anxious. we moved and since then he seems like it’s hard for him to get used to the new spot and he gets scared of random things like my box fan because it fell over once. he gets anxious to the point where if i try to move him or pick him up when he’s trying to avoid the areas he gets scared, he’ll bite at me. sometimes randomly he also tries to bite at me if i move him while he’s comfortable too.

he’s been on prozac now for a few weeks and this past week things have gotten really bad. he hides when we’re home underneath my bed or under furniture. he also avoids his crate even though he loved it before. i’m guessing it’s because it was close to the fan. i moved the fan away to the other side of the room and he still won’t go in his crate. when i try to pick him up he snaps at me. and he won’t come to sleep in my bed or in his crate, he’d rather sleep under the bed or on the floor which is very uncharacteristic for him. it seems like this is worse at night. during the day he’s okay when he’s out since i bring him along with me to work in an office (which he loves bc he loves people). i also give him the meds in the morning.

he does have some health conditions currently he’s being treated for issues with his liver. but from what the vet said, it seems like he’s not experiencing pain from that so i have to believe it’s from the meds since nothing else changed.

any advice is appreciated. i think im going to call the vet tomorrow since the last two days have been rough trying to make him comfortable but i feel bad that he seems to be suffering.
