AIO my boyfriend physically stopped me from seeing his phone?

I’ve never asked to look at his phone in a year of being together, and the other day a few questionable instagram likes and some untrustworthy behavior I reacted strongly and demanded explanations. He explained it away as nothing, but this turned into him accusing me of having flirtatious messages with a coworker (I don’t!) he then took my phone and physically stopped me from taking it back as he went through my messages.

When he did this, I took his phone and he immediately got up trying to grab it from me. I resisted for a moment but let go and he quickly took it away.

He say privacy is a big deal to him, and that that’s an invasion of it.

Am I overreacting for thinking he is definitely hiding something?
