Interrupted

I took the exam remotely tonight and stared at the screen for the whole intermission. My proctor said “you can take a break now” 4 minutes into my break and I just didn’t rly move. Once the 10 mins were up, I started the 3rd section, was working through it when 2 minutes in, I receive a message from my proctor saying something to the effect of “Are you ready to start again?” I wrote back quickly that I’d already started and was midsection. My proctor then said that we needed to do a security check in. Panicking, I was like I’ve already started the section (?). The proctor requested I do a ceiling scan while I was trying to read and process. Thankfully after probably 2 mins of this chaos they paused my section - but those 2 mins cost me time, focus, and peace of mind :(

Is this grounds for requesting a retake? It felt very disruptive and bizarre but pls tell me if I am the culprit and missed some clearly marked instruction along the way !
