Belsomra

Hey all!!! ☺️☺️☺️
I’m absolutely positive there will be so many mixed reviews for this medication on here, probably more negative ones than positive ones, but I have tried absolutely everything, EVERYTHING for my terrible insomnia, and literally nothing ever works!!!!
I’m talking “Z” drugs, temazapam, diazepam, lorazepam (all the “Pam’s” and all the “Z’s”), as well as Seroquel, Zyprexa, Mirtazapine, melatonin, cold and flu night tablets, phenergan, antihistamines, just everything.
I have some Belsomra 15mg here, and I’ve only used one, so that gives me the impression it didn’t do too much when I tried it, but it was some time ago, and a lot has happened since then, so I’m thinking it’s worth another try, even if it works short term.
What do you all think about it?
I’m only getting to sleep, IF I do, from maybe 930pm to 3am, with frequent night awakenings, and never EVER sleeping past 4am.
I’m literally desperate, as I’m sure we all are.
I’ve got Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, so the chronic pain that comes with that, plus I’m a single mother to a son with severe special needs.
I need to find something, ANYTHING, that will start to break the cycle and just get me past sleeping to maybe 6am in the morning, so I’m not up at ridiculous hours, running out of steam by the time everyone else is up at 8am.
How has this worked for people, please?
I’ve heard all the horror stories, and all the good stories, too.
I have perfect sleep hygiene (I’m a psychologist, so I’m really big on all of that anyway) and it’s getting me nowhere fast, and day by day, I’m falling deeper into a depressive hole because of the lack of sleep.
It’s like Groundhog Day.
Every day is the same.
Desperately try to sleep, wake up and then it’s like “better get up now, can’t lie here tossing and turning for hours”, then the day gets started, I wake my son at 8am after doing my morning walk, having a shower, doing my physio, feeding our pets, and cleaning up everything before my son is up.
I need to break this cycle, and I’m desperate.
Most people respond to Seroquel or Zyprexa, even if they have to stop taking it due to side effects, but I would like to know some experiences with this, because I’ve already got them, and they’re worth $80, so I figure I may as well try????
Thank you all in advance ❤️❤️❤️🌷🌷🌷🙏🙏🙏
