bilateral peripheral vision loss

Without much work up (getting my prescription and asking questions), my (F25) neuro op is telling me that my worsening peripheral vision loss and visual snow are “just migraines and near sighted ness.” My other doctors are worried and there are only 4 neuro ophthalmologists within 700 miles of me. Lucky me I got the one that told me I can’t do a visual field test right. I can hear the machine making the sound for the light, but I can’t see the dang light! Sometimes I’d misclick saying I saw a light when I hadn’t because my brain associated the sound with the lights and the button press. It’s been over a year of gradually worsening symptoms with new ones occasionally like double vision and a kaleidoscope effect. I’m not here to rant, although that’s part of the nature of this post because I don’t feel like my or my other care team members concerns are being addressed.

My question for you all: what is in the differential for bilateral peripheral vision loss? We have ruled out pituitary adenoma, but I don’t think we did any other tests besides maybe a pressure test. Thank you
