Got my wisdom teeth taken out, I have much worse pain on day 4 is this normal?

I got all four wisdom teeth removed on June 1st, for bony impaction. Today, I woke up with much worse pain in my lower right side. It does improve with ibuprofen and Tylenol, but it is much worse than it has been. When the ibuprofen starts to wear off it gets pretty bad again. The sockets on both sides look the same, very dark looking, but it’s hard to see since it’s difficult to open my mouth wide. Clove oil also helps. Is this normal?
