Are there ethics to truth?

Analysis

(I apologise if my english is bad)

I have recently been thinking about sharing my antinatalist views with the other adolescents around me at school but I have decided against that. At first glance it seemed like a good move, if I tell them about my antinatalist views, they will be enlightened and I can use this as an opportunity to control how many people will be born.

Though, upon further inspection, I have realized that this may be morally questionable. They are definitely not ready to hear the truth and it will also put me in danger as well.

The environment we are born into, is not designed to cultivate critical thinking at all. We live in a deeply conservative islamic country, isolated from international philosophy.

It is an echo chamber here. The act of having children is highly encouraged here and people are taught to "respect" their parents and take care of them when they are older from birth to death.

Philosophy is completely unheard of and actively discouraged here. Because it gives people the capacity to think outside the box, which leads them to leave islam (I am an ex-muslim)

If I were to share my antinatalist views, I would definitely be misunderstood as a depressed and suicidal pessimist and they will attempt to suppress me. Besides, I don't believe that they will be able to grasp the concept of antinatalism at all. I dont believe that they can distinguish between a formal philosophical and ethic focused stance and an emotional rambling about how life is bad.

This might also not enlighten them, because children are brainwashed with natalist stances, hearing that their belief, which they have had for their whole lives is wrong, will absolutely bring them severe psychological discomfort.

And so be it, at least they are happy and carefree and I don't want to take that away from them. They are regular children, I am a specialised anomaly, sorry if that's arrogant of me to say that.

Thanks for reading! <3
