Have a Long Road Trip coming up…scared/nervous about it

I have a work trip coming up where I’m traveling from CO-NC (my home state actually). I’m having to drive as my dog will not fit in the cabin and I refuse to put him under a plane.

I got into two accidents only 5 months apart. Neither of the accidents were my fault. The first one a truck pulled out in front of me and did not get across in time. The second one someone rear ended me and did it so hard I hit the car in front of me.

So safe to say I am pretty scared to drive this long distance. I’m breaking it up into 3-4 days (work is graciously paying for my miles and hotel rooms)

I am petrified of a car accident and dying :( I just feel like I don’t have good luck with cars now and I’m scared something is going to happen either on the way there or the way back :(
