Why I think there hasnt been a Princess and the Frog remake...

Not that I think we need one, all the remakes are objectively inferior (though I admit I will probably give Tangled a chance, as its my favorite all time movie), I think Princess and the Frog would be a tougher sell and harder to adapt.

Tiana and Naveen as frogs works perfectly in animation, and because they're animated, its easy to get on board with and connect with their love story. Now think of trying to buy into two photo realistic talking frogs falling in love and a realistic looking trumpet playing alligator and a firefly.

Like I said, this seems like it would be a tough sell for people to get on board with, even if they ditched photo realistic animals and made them far more animated. The photrealism thing was proved to not exactly work, because of the Lion King remake. Princess and the Frog was designed to only feasibly work as an animated movie.

We don't even need the remakes at all, I'm not interested in Moana, especially because Rock looks HORRIBLE as live action Maui. Though, I'm cautiously considering maybe seeing Tangled, definitely conflicted because its my favorite. Still doesn't change how needless the remakes really are. We could have more original movies instead with all the time they are wasting on the remakes. So maybe no Princess and the Frog is for the best.
