immigration attorney consultation says to blindly wait and advise not to file, what the hell?

I-130 & I-485 (Family/Adjustment of status)

Context: I'm an F-1 Student, graduated last year, staying here with OPT that's about to expire in a few months, trying to file for spousal AOS (been married for a year at this point)

ok so I don't have a lot of money or information on how to go about finding a good attorney and whatnot, so I signed up for a probono legal consultation offered by CUNY Citizenship Now! program, and I had my meeting with an attorney yesterday. She basically had told us that they're advising everyone to not file pro-se because of the memo and that it'd be better for people to wait until after all the litigation against the memo settles.

My problem is, that I'm an F1 student with my visa expiring in a little over a month, so I feel pressured to file for AOS asap. It is my stupid mistake to wait this long after marriage (1 year ago) to start this whole process, but now I feel like is really the worst time to wait around any longer for me.

And then I come on here, on r/uscis and I'm seeing a lot of immigration attorneys advising people to file anyway, and also attorneys on instagram and youtube telling people that they should file asap so I'm just extra extra confused. My consultant was like "ok so you're from korea, which isn't one of the visa banned countries, so it wouldn't be that bad even if you go back". After the meeting, she told me to send over to her the documents and whatnot so she could review them and then have a followup on Friday, but then after I sent everything over, she basically cancelled the followup saying I should probably just hire a private attorney (and that they will probably also advise against filing anyway).

I don't know, I'm kinda rambling. I just feel so.. disappointed, confused and a bit weirded out.

I really should hire an attorney tho, but I'm not sure what the best way to go about it is. I never had any experiences regarding legal whatevers. What's the best process for finding a good immigration attorney? The price differs so much for everyone and I'm not sure what the differences are and how much I should be expected to spend, if cost directly translates to successful filing, etc. Please help this lost soul ;-;
