How do you handle login session sync delays across different devices?
Hi everyone,
We are currently facing an annoying issue when users switch between mobile devices and tablets.
When a user logs in on a new device, the old session is ended correctly on the backend. However, the frontend UI (like the device management screen) does not update immediately. It keeps showing old, cached data, making users think they are still logged in on the other device.
To fix this temporarily and avoid confusion, we forced the main account screen to refresh manually. This allows it to show a clear list of the 5 most recent login sessions, complete with device info and timestamps.
While we are researching a proper lumix solution to handle this real-time data sync smoothly, we want to know how other teams solve this.
- How do you optimize your system architecture to prevent user complaints about cross-device sync delays?
- Do you use WebSockets, short polling, or an aggressive cache-busting method?
Would love to hear your advice!
