Kryven Vault - Passports & Identity Documents
Every time I travel internationally, someone asks for my passport number before I've even opened my bag. Airline check-in forms. Hotel registration. Visa applications. Travel insurance claims.
Passports — how I use it:
I store every family member's passport: number, issue date, expiration, issuing country. When I'm booking flights and the form asks for passport details, I pull them from Vault instead of finding the physical document. When we're at a hotel abroad and they want passport numbers for registration, I have them on my phone.
I also set an expiration reminder — some countries require 6 months validity. Vault reminds me before it becomes a problem.
Identity documents — how I use it:
Birth certificates, Social Security cards, national IDs. I don't carry these, but I need the numbers more often than you'd think — tax forms, government applications, school enrollment for kids. Having them in Vault means I'm never stuck waiting to get home to check a filing cabinet.
Smart Scan:
For passports, I just point my camera at the MRZ (that machine-readable zone at the bottom). Vault reads it and fills in the fields automatically. Same with driver's licenses — scan the barcode, fields populate. No manual typing.
The sharing angle:
My spouse and I share a group with all family passports. When she's booking a trip or filling out forms for the kids, she has every passport number without asking me. If we're traveling separately with the kids, whoever has them has the info.
Try it: Add your passport and one ID. Set the expiration reminder. Next time you're filling out a travel form, you'll have it instantly.
