My friend is highly addicted to Create

I'm in a group of 4 people and we like to do Minecraft from time to time. We make our own modpack, putting a bunch of mods inside it, and one of the main ones is for Create, which we like to add because a member of the group really likes the mod.

The thing is, now he's going insane for it: he refuses to make another server with us because it dies after 2 weeks, so he wastes time making stuff with create and isn't even able to finish a build.

We tried changing things up, like doing a vanilla, and that worked, even if it was only 3 out of 4 people, but we managed to make it evolve such that in a month it had a proper ending, and we're really happy about that, but the guy spent all his time in game in an afk pool playing fucking Balatro.

After talking with him about this, I asked him if he was playing Minecraft only for Create, and it looks like that's it.

He wasn't always like this, the group had a roman empire inspired server which was vanilla and it was a lot of fun (well it wasn't really fun, it was worse than North Korea as the emperor taxed the air and made the other two fight for his sadistic fun), and he played a lot there, and it was before he discovered create.

Now without create he can't enjoy minecraft, it's literally an addiction, and we don't know what to do. It's like fentanyl to him

Is there anything I can do to make him forget about create? I just want him to play in a vanilla or a modpack without that mod 😞
