I’ve been think about the franchise as a whole but specifically the OG movies, the Jedi Order and what the force/balance of the force truly means in SW!

But I’ve ultimately concluded that Lucas wanted to mix Western (Abrahamic/Christian) religious beliefs and Eastern beliefs (Taoism/Yin&Yang) to ultimately describe how the force works and what emotions fit into what binary etc. He’s stated (and shockingly many fans agree) that balance means (a single binary) light side emotions are natural, while the dark side emotions isn’t and should be destroyed (or suppressed). But his own OG movies (obviously the rest of the canon lore or otherwise contradicts him) even are more inherently flawed than I personally believed.

My Questions:
Simply put how can Luke be proven right in ROTJ about the force being both light and dark, thus using emotions like love and his attachment to save Vader from the dark, if the light side binary is balance itself?

Since Lucas has stated that the light side is the balance and darkness was eradicated when “The Chosen One” killed Palps? How is Anakin “The Chosen One” if he helped destroy the Jedi and later the Sith?

And most crucially, how can the Jedi themselves truly accept death, if they can learn a light side ability of becoming a force ghost, while condemning the Sith for their own efforts to escape it?

Are the Jedi oxymoronic or is Lucas bad at explaining his views and beliefs?
