Gothic Remake is the only game that's made me genuinely angry at how low quality it is

Maybe this is just my opinion and experience, but this game is absolute garbage. I was anxiously awaiting its release for years, yet what they released is one of the worst experiences I've had with gaming.

I've played some terrible games, many much worse than this one, but none have made me genuinely angry before.

The game is buggy as hell. It's prone to crashes. And you know what? Most of the actual game is fine. What really bothered me is that the movement was so ungodly frustrating that it made doing ANYTHING in the game incredibly unpleasant. I felt like I was moving in molasses the whole time. It was incredibly unresponsive. Starting to move or turning around took forever. It didn't feel like I was controlling the nameless hero. It felt more like I was giving him commands that took five seconds for him to process. And, normally, I have no issue with commanding my hero rather than directly controlling them (I love CRPGs like BG 3 and Pillars of Eternity).

I have a hard time caring about how lovingly crafted your game is if doing literally anything in it feels incredibly unpleasant. Content doesn't matter when the medium from which I experience it makes me feel anxious, frustrated, and annoyed.

If you want a Gothic successor, play Drova.
