Animated WEBP export seems to be extremely slow? (Win10)

When exporting an animation to WEBP it takes ages for it to finish. The export progress bars seems to move once every 30s or so. In comparison, when exporting the same animation as GIF it takes at worst 30s in total rather than just for 1 snippet of the export progress bar. There seems to be no issue about this on google either.

"file-webp.exe", which seems to be the process responsible for exporting the WEBP image, only takes up 7% CPU resources (total CPU resources don't go above 12%) and hovers around 100mb-160mb RAM usage (there's still a lot of RAM available).

Is there any way to fix it/speed it up? My system hardware-wise should be more than capable of doing this task at least in under a minute. My GIMP version is 3.2.0.
